Hipp was one of the cor porators of The Exchange Bank. o Newberry: he was a director froa the daTe of its organization; he was later its viee-president until Marcl 19, 1910, when he became president; he was president and director at th( time of his death, June 24, 1910. Th( news of his death filled the director, of the bank with sorrow and & deel sense of loss; and they wish to pu on record an expression of their ap preciation of his services. Clear an( accurate in judgment, firm and posi tive in his convictions, clean and hon orable in private as well as in officia uosition, true to his trusts and o faultiess integrity. Edward R. HipI contributed much to the welfare o this bank and left in this communit: an impression for good, that wil abide.
