'The bodies of 37 miners were res eued from the St. Paul coal mine on Sunday, in the galleries of the mines only c'orpses were discovered, and hope that additional rescues would be effected was crushed. Piles of bodies were seen in the depths while one of the rescud men gives an ac count of a terrible experience. Six workmen were killed and a number of others barely escaped death when four thbousand cubic feet of earth caved in and entombed a construction force engaged in build ing a viaduct at Salem Creek, south of Winston-Salem, on the South Bound railroad Tuesday morning.
