Mr. J. 1;. auaLtlebaum has gone west to buy stock. -The work on the new church is progressing nicely considering the bad weather. The roof is now being framed. Miss Southerland, Moseley Bros. milliner, and Miss Leggett, Mrs. Cal mes milliner, will return to their homes in the old north state. Mr. Neel Paysinger, of Greenwood, is visiting his friend, Geo. Harmon this week. The Chirstmas exercises of Grace Snlday school will be given in -the city hall on Wednesday evening. Married Dec. 15th, at the Lutheran parsonage at St. Lukes by Rev. S. P. Koon, Miss Bertha Bowers and Mr. Frank Morris. Congratulations to the happy young voyagers on life's sea. The dime reading consisting of re citations, songs, tableaus, etc., will be given on Friday night, December 27th, in city hall. Don't forget that the proceeds will go to helping on with the new church furnishings. On Thursday afternoon there will be a baby show and at 7.30 p. m., home talent will give the play Jumbo Jam. The wine was in the custody of Banks Dominick. Chief Bedenbaugh got next eight quarts of liquor in the possession of Anderson Kinard. He paid ten dol lars to help work the streets and light the town.
