We have not heard any noise like starling thai hospital about which we wrote some days ajjo. Abbeville has already raised something like $(3,000 i'or a hospital; (Ireeuwood is a.nitatinir the subject, and we hope the suyjjestion contained in tlie Herald and News as to N'ewberry will not be permitted to pass by without attention. We have as line physicians here as any of these towns, and while this is a healthy community, yet it would be a nood tiling (o have a tirstdass hospital, because people do somelimes .net sick, and there are, unfortunately, times when it is necessary to have surgical operations performed.?Herald and News. As we said, the Newberry paper makes the rinht sound. The above i.- fll and wisely fa id. We know it to be a fact thai what lite Herald and News says as |o the physicians and hcalthfulncss of Newberry is true. ?The same can be truly said of Laurens. As for tlm hospital, il would be a nod idea, but you can't net that or the Atlantic Coast Line parlor car unless citizens support the newspaper : 1!< 11 these lines. So far a- the Laurens chamber id' commerce is concerned, il is a new organization and the committees haven I n?'l the liann of I hums yet. Newberry has had one of these bodies for some time.
