TWIOE A WEEK. 1.50 A YEAR ANSEL AND MANNING WILL RUN AGAIN RETURNS HAVE BEEN COMING IN SLOWLY Blease Third in the Race for Gover nor-Vote Light Throughout. the State. - Mr. Martin F. Ansel,.of Greenville, and Mr. Richard 1. Manning, of Sum tot, wiA be in the second race for governor.. Mr. Blease, of Newberry, was third in the race. Mr. Th'otmas .(G. McLead, of Lee county, was elected lieutenant gov ernor without. opposition. For Secretary of state Mr. R. M. McCown is elected by a good majori ty over his two opponents. Messrs. J. B. Mlorrison and L. M. Ragin. For' comptroller general, with about 76,000 votes heard from, Mr. A. W. Jones was leading Mr. 0. L. Walker by about 3.000 votes, and it seemed that. Mr. Jones would be elected. For state treasurer Mi. 1R. H. Jen nings was elected without opposition. For ad.juhant and inspector general Mr. J. C. ioyd, of Greenville, over whlehinningly defeated hi,, opponent, Mr. L. W. HIaskell. For state superitentldent of educa tioln ir. 0. B. Maitinl was r-e-eleeted without opposition. For attorney general it. seems prob able that. Lyon and iagsdale will run a second race, though Lyon's lead is great, and yesterday he had a chance of being elected onl the first ballot.
