Why not a little cooperation between the ll Mil /i town and the propertv owners in setting shade trees along the streets just now before the sap , risefr? ,, .i The Marshville Home is back in > old hands. Zeb Green, the ' founder of the paper, is editor again, and L. E. Huggins is local editor and business manager. Each of these gentlemen has made this a good paper in the years gone by, and now that both of them are back with tneir sleeves up tlie paper is coming again. Thev have is.Mill ^ sued the paper twice since the sale, and while neither has his picture ir. the paper any old reader of the paper can see the personality of each revealed in the reading matter. Reading the paper now carries the writer back to the time when he was a youngster sitting in the shade at noon on the farm reading the " the stuff Mr. Zeb Green (we were required to say "Mister" at that time) wrote and printed in "Our Home." Though he has grown in reputation as a writer, he is still Zeb Green, and we rnn't }"u.1r? martinnr nihil lw. I ?; - ??' ?- ..X- ; writes when we have opportu ] nity. The News under his management promises to be above the average for a semi weekly paper. A bill has passed the legislature authorizing the trustees ot the Pageland school to call an election when they think the time has come on the question of an additional bond issue to be used in erecting additions to the present overcrowded building. The bill authorizes a bond issue equal to 8 p ^r cent of the assessed property in the district. The property is assessed at about $200,000, and thus bonds amounting to $16,000 may be is sued if the people vote in favor of such a move. The bonds already issued amount to $8,5000, which means that $7,5000 more micht hp issnpH if tlip n mnlo cn r, ? ? -? |/vvrpiv OV desire. It is improbable, however, in the event an election is called that the full amount would be asked. The bill sim ply gives the trustees the right to submit the matter to the voters of the district when they see fit to do so. Thev may ask for an election at an early date or they may never ask for one.
