THE JOURNAL. Camden, February II, 1809 How tiie Land Goes.?The Secretary of the Interior informs us that up to the 30th of January, 1S69, Con' 1 * ?-mutnlv tn rail gress naa given un*j-?u.~...v ? road:?twenty-one and a half uiilliou ; acres of land, and that since that tiuie five aod a half millions more have been added to the list. And yet the New York Tribune thinks that this is not a complete account It asks : "Will not Congress call for a more particular statement, showing, first, how much land has been given away up to this time; second, how much more is involved in the bills now pending; and, third, how much good land we have left ?" We would like to add to this the further inquiry, "How much of all the land donated to these objects has been given to the South ?" This would be fair and proper, hot merely for the gratification of any sectional feeling, but to place before Congress a basis for future action should that body be disposed to make some amends for the glaring partiality which inflamed the discontent of the South and helped ou secession. - " ?
