?Wednesday night last the boat of Mr.
Brown, who supplies the fleet with such

taken possession of by a pirate, and clean'

cars, several bags of salt, fifteen head of
cabbage &c. Mr. Brown enptared the

should take out a licence, have passed
an ordinance fixing the licence fee at $25.
' per year, but Mr. Photo probably think'
ing he had secured the cream of the busi'
ness for the present folded his tent like
. the Arabs, and left us.
?The delay in the arrival of the mail
' train yesterday was caused by a collision,
s which, fortunately, was attended with
no loss of lifo nor property. It seems
. the agent at Augusta was telegraphed to
i detain the wood tram, which leaves Augusta
daily, until the arrival of the extra
train, but the dispatch, although received
half an hoyi* b; f<ye the train started, was
not delivered, aud the wood train left
( as usual p.nd of course met the extra on a
, curve. The colision threw the engine of
the extra off the track and delayed the
regular train lour hours. This is the
second lime since Mr. Wilson has had
charge of the Port Royal Railroad that
a tram has been behind time; the other '
was occasion* d by an overloadcdir.tin
contrary to orders.
