Prostrated for weeks by sickness, the hope was entertained that | she might be spared, but God in llis in finite ami inscrutable wisdom has seen proper to remove her from her husband, children and friends, and iu submission we bow our heads and with the. Psalmist exclaim, "tho Lord gave and the Lord hath taken awny, blessed be the name ol Hie Lord." Born in Dallas county, Ala bama, on the (Jth ot September, 1848, situ was married to Alexander Dalion Ken nedy on the 23rd of February, 18tf9, and reuioved at once to Camden where she has ever since resided. Identifying her self with Ills family and friends, she won all hearts to her and by her gentleness and domestielty iu the home circle, her kindness of heiirt and sweotness of man ner ani' ug her friends ; by her charity and unobtrusive piety and zeal in the ohuroli of her choice, filled a place which Iter death makes truly void. Of her could |( bo truthfully said, "Noiio knew her but to love hor{ none named her but to praise."
