And yet his Intelli gence will crop out in many ways. Ed ucation, mental strength and vigor, pay as well on the farm as In any other de partment of human labor. This Is be ginning to be realized. Failures ?re everywhere. But there are twenty fail ures to secure a living off the farm where one intelligent farmer fails of a good living and of loavlng something to his children. THE CZAR CROWNED. The loyalty of the Russian subjects could not have been manifested In a more marked decree than was exhibited just previous to nnd during the ceremo nies of crowning Alexander III tut the Czar of all Russia. Tho whole civilized world had been looking forward to this event with no little Interest. Fear had for Homo time existed that the Nihilists would make nttempts to take tho life of tho Czar, If not before the day fixed for tho coronation at leaBt upon that occa sion. These fears, which have caused the world to look with the keenest In terest upon the events transpiring In Russia, have not been realized, and Al exander III sits upon his throne to-day, holding In his hand the Bceptie which rules his people. These grand ceremonies, preparations for which had been going on for months previous, took place In the city of Mos cow last Sunday, and were attended by an immense number of poople, Including representatives from nearly every gov ernment in Europe and America. A Rnllrond Official Interviewed, Not every one so obeerfully communi cates his knowledgo and opinions as leceut ly did E. L. Loweree, Bitq., cashier of th? Cinoinnati 8outbera Railway, that splendid outlet to the South from the Ohio. Our rep resentative waited upon Mr.) Lowereo, and in reply to certain questions the lattet gen tleman observed: '*1 was suffering from a very severe attack of rheumatism in my right foot ; it was in a terrible condition; the pain was almost intolerable; our family physician waited on me without aucoeaa; I sent (or another well-known M. L>., but even the twain oould do nothing for me; I could not get down here to the office to at tend to my duties; in fact 1 could not put my foot under me at all, and aflor nine ?**aks suffering 1 began to grow desperate. My friend (whom, of oourse, you know, for he is known by everybody!, Mr. Stacey Hill, of the Mount Auburn Inclined l'lane Railroad Co., called to see me; he spoke very highly of 8t. Jacobs Oil, and recom mended the remedy to me in glowing terms. 1 laughed at the idea of using a proprietary medioine, and yet ihe party recommending It, (Mr. Stacey Hill, remember), being a man of sound judgment, set me to thinking the matter over. Ttie next dny, when the phyiioiun8 oalled, I dismissed them, and said to myself that 1 woni<1 let nature take its oourse. That resolution lasted just a dny. On the following morning I, In a At of desperation, sent a servant for a bottle I of St. Jacobs Oil. I applied that wonderful remedy, and It penetrated me so that 1 thought my foot wis about to fall off, but it did not;' in fact It did just the opposite. The next morning tho pain had entirely left j my foot, the swelling was reduced, and re ally the appearanot was so dlffeient alto gether from the day before, and it actually surprised me. I applied more of St. Jacobs Oil, and that afternoon 1 walked down here to the offloe, and was able to attend to ray duties and get around as well as anyone. Let me say for St. Jaoobs t il that it beats railroad time, and la always sure to win. ?
