District School Meeting.?A meeting of the Taxpayers of this School District was held at Town Hall, on Sat urday; aud after a long md spirited dis cussion, a tax of one mill was levied on all real estat?, as an additional school tax for this district. The burden there fore falld upon the owners of real prop erty, whilst they who possess personal property, and they who pay only a poll tax are relieved from assisting in sup^ porting the school*. We understand that the residents of district No. 12 met aud agreed to levy no tax at all. District No. 9 levied a tax of one and a half mills ou both real aud persoual property. The Championship.?The contest between the "Camden" and "Kershaw" Baae Ball Clubs, for the championship of this county, will take plaoe on next Wednesday, 8th inat., at the grounds of the Kershaw club, commencing at 3 o' clock p. m. The two rival clubs are' on their musclo" nearly every afternoon, and ire evidently "eager for the fray." Our citizens may therefore expect to see an interestinggamc on the day set apart, as both clubs boast of some "crack" players. The members of the clubs would be #lad to see our citisens (es pecially the ladies) turn out on the Oc eania u, and the OQAieat.
