TO THE PUBLIC. :o: v EVER since my "Aromatic Schiedam Schnapps" ?the purest and best Gin lor medical purposes ?became fully appreciated throughout this country, I have been constantly solicited by druggists, apothe? .">? ?..<* l?rr?Q iuiritltnro nl llif. rnngf. nniinoni. tilirci. I should long ago have endeavored to comply with the flattering requests. but I found it impossible to do so, especially to regard to the important hi tides of Brand.,, Pott and Madeira Wines. owing in the high prices in Europe, occasioned by"short grape crops for . some veaAs. Happily for thasuccoss of mv new enterprise, pto grape crop tor the idse* and previous \ ears was', abuiid.iut. Another point in my favor is this: the duty now on French Brandy is 70 per cent, less than it was when my medical friends began to solicit mo to furnish pure Brandy and Wines. These favoring circumstances have enabled mo to commence a new* enterprise. I l.n. atn imnnrt. Pnrrnnn Rmr?dr mid Winos. to buttle them for medical as well as for private use. I am ivell aware, from the bitter experience, ihe vile attacks, the misrepresentation of motives and enmity of dealers and mixers of bad articles which I met with ainl conquered in the case of my Schnapps, belore it obtained its present proud pro-eminence overall other Gins, that the new enterprise will be attended with equal opposition, nioro trouble, and involve an iinmouse outlay ol capital. These difficulties and expenses will be much greater,, because I shall have to encounter the malignity and enmity of countless thou sands who ate engaged in the liquor trade, and making fortunes by the manufacture ol infamous imitations of 'Brandy" made from poisonous compounds?their use being alike destructive to healthy human life, and of course speedy death to the feeble invalid, or those "in whose behalf eminent physicians have urged upon me the importation of a pure, invigorating article of Brandy. I shall do, in spiie of all oppo.-iiion, even that of the dealers at.d sellers of the stuff in bottles cal'ed "llraiidy," ol which millions of bottles are annually sold, and which is no better than the worst of poisons. I am perfectly willing and well satisfied to embark in this new enterprise, and have no fears, no doubt about the most uliimuie success for myvelf ami the druggists and apothecaries in the lliiriy-lhrec States, il tliey will heartily co-operate villi me in my elf iris to drive out. of use the vilest of compounds, called ' Brandy," and replace it with the pure, unadulterated article, which I will faithfully and truly supply. The medical virtues of pure French Brandy need not bo told The Brandy imported by inc I will bottle, seal with my* seal, my label, and add iny eerlificale that it is of the first quality, and pure and uu adulterated as when it left ihe distillery in France. ? I have selected four eminent firms iflio will sliip me their Brandies. I shall not designate thcarticle by any other name than Wolfe's Genuine Cognac Brand}-. It I were to do otherwise it would be useless, for then unprincipled persons, who are incesantly engaged in the nefarious traflic of imitating all valuable article-1, would soon imitate and adopt my tnark as a cloak under which to sell their compound ol poisons to cover the vile imposition.
