Piano Forte, Organ, Molodeou <tc., either at the Pupils residence or at his Music Room at the house of Mr. McCandiess. Having devoted his whole life to his profession (which he has studied under sotnc of the principal English and Continental Masters,) he hopes lie will be enabled to give tho most perfect satisfaction to those who may. pursue their musical studies under his direction.: ? ..The.plan of tuition adopted is based on "perfection only in proportion as thcro is simplicity"?its main ob ject is to impart to students not merely a superficial, but a sound theoretical as well us practical education in-Music, with the least possible mental labor**- loss of time, and expense, and constantly enforcing on the Piano Forte?student, (among others) a strict attention to those important points which really belong to a filtrate a performer, viz: a proper position of the hands ami.arms, a-smooth and distinct touch, playing in time and with expression, a proper system of fingering Ac., and doing entirely away with the old and tedious plan of first learning all the notes, time table &c., a fearful task to many a beginner, who is not encouraged by being set down to tho instrument to play, at the very first lesson, without auy previous musical knowledge whatever. It is desirable that those who may wish to tako lessons should enter their names at onco so as to begin with the preseut term. References of the-first order can be produced.
