that track to escape a Westward
bound freight train. The alarm was
given, bnt Ohambera did not hear it.
The train wee going at the rate of
thirty miles an hoar. Jemeo Kein,
the firemen, jumped through tbe cab
window end ran to the pilot of the
locomotive, end shouted to the man,
but failed to make him beer? Hewaa
struck by the pilot end thrown into
tbe air higher than the smoke-stack.
He fell bank on the pilot, with hie
head down, his feet near the head?
light. The firemen instantly grasped
him by the leg and held him until the
train was stopped. Chambers wee
