Two armies on the trampled Buoros That death flows back between. Onem&rohes to the drum beat-roll, The wide -mouthed clarion's bray, And bears upon a crimson ucroll, "Oar glory is to slay." One movos in silonoo by the stream, With sad yet watchful eyes; Calm as tho patient planet's gleam That walks tho clouded skies. For those no death-bod's liDgcriug shade At honor's trumpet call; With knitted brow and lifted bin..lo? in glory's arms they fall. The Democrats of the Fifth Congres? sional District of Ohio have little suc? cess ia their endeavors to shame Mr. C. W. Lamison into resigning his seat in the House of Representatives. Last Wednesday tho Democratic Convention of tho second sub-divison of tho third judicial district adopted a resolution de? nouncing tho "apiary steal" as "an infa? mous act of fraud," and its supporters us unworthy the endorsement of a Demo? cratic convention. Mr. Lamison de? fended himself, succeeding only in rous? ing the ire of the delegates. Several of them expressed their opinions very freely, while others called upon Mr. Lamison to resigu. For the Beoond time he proved his determination Cb re? tain his seat by replying to his constitu? ents' demand in this choice language: "Resign be d?d. I'll see you in h?1 first."
