Thb Woman QuaatioN.?The Missouri Republican esyo c! ,Bernau suffrage; "The Republican party lias half pro* raised to grant the demand, end the Re? publican party, having control of Con? gress and of thirty State Legislatures, is able to mako good its pledge. If is too late to say1 that the masses of that party are not prepared for the question?that, in fact, they are.opposed to the sweep-' ing revolution which it involves. The Philadelphia 'platform ^avo it a Bemi endorsement, -and in electing a Republi? can President and a Republican Con? gress on that platform they may be con? sidered to have approved every word in that platform, inoluding the endorse? ment of female suffrage.'! Three national gold banks have been organized in California under the Aot'of , July 158, 1870, with an aggregate capital I of $3,300,000, and circulation of $1,480, ' 000, based upon United States bonds, at the rate of eighty oents on the dollar. This currency is redeemable in coin, i? more convenient than the coin itself in the transaction of business, and circu? lates freely at par noon the Pacific coast. Other applications nave boen no ado for the organization of similar institutions, and it is probable that this kind of air onlation will be considerably increased daring the coming year. Numerous Posteiutt.?A Mr. Fea? thers, of Sullivan County, Tonu., recent? ly deceased at the. age of ninety-six years, left a numerous posterity, viz: Sixteen children (nine sons and seven daughters,) 128 grand-children, and 119 great-grandchildren?in all, 258.
