The highest bridge in the world is raid to be the verragas Viadaot, on the Lima and Oroya Railroad, in the Andes of Fern. The viaduot crosses a mountain torrent, called the Agna da Vorrugas, in a wild and picturesque tonality, 12,?;;0 feet above the level of the sea. The structure consists of fonr deck spans of the Fink type of trass, three of whioh are 110 feet long, and one, the central span, 125 feet long. The spans rest on piera built of wrought iron columns. The piers are fifty feet long by flflean feet wide on the top. There being three piers, the total length of the viadaot is 575 feet. The piers are the prinoipal feature of interest, and are respectively 145 feet, 252 feet and 187 feet high. Eaoh pier consists of twelve legs, whioh in plan form a rectangle. The legs are composed of a series of wrought iron six-segment columns, in lengths of twen? ty-five feet, connections being made by oast iron joint boxes having tenons on each end running into the column. The tenons and the face of easting against which the column bears are ma ohine-dressed, so as to obtain an accu? rate fit and perfect-bearing surface. The columns have an exterior diameter of twelve inches, and a diameter, in? cluding flanges, of sixteen in oh es. Com? pared with other works of a similar type, such as the Orumlin Viaduct, which has hitherto home off the palm, it is far ahead, both in magnitude and per? fection of details. Symptoms of Catabbh.?Dull, heavy headache, obstruction of nasal passages, discharge falling into throat, sometimes profuse, watery, aorid, thick and tena? cious muous, purulent, maco-puralent, bloody, pu rid, offensive, etc. In others a dryness, dry, watery, weak or inflamed eyes, ringing in ears, deafness, hawking and coughing to clear the throat, opera? tions, soahs from nlcers, constant desire to clear nose and throat, voice altered, nasal twang, offensive breath, impaired smell and taste, dizziness, mental depres? sion, tickling cough, idiocy and insanity. All the above symptoms ate common to the disease in some of its stages or compilations, yet thousands of oases an? nually terminate in coo Gumption, and end in the grave, without ever manifest? ing one-third of the above symptoms. No disease is moreoommon or less un? derstood by physicians. The proprietor of Dr. Sage'* Oatarrh Remedy will pay $500 reward for a case of Oatarrh which he cannot orrro. Sold by druggists. The justioe of the verdict rendered by the pnblio years ago in favor of the Mexican Mustang Liniment raunt be apparent to all who have used that fa? mous preparation, or seen it used. Its healing influence is irresistible. The most obstinate forms of neuralgic or rheumatic disease are totally cared by it, and that in an inconceivable short space of time. External injuries or Bores, whether of mau or beast, as well as all equine or human maladies for whioh a liniment may he used, are speedily reme died by ite nse. Rbjaembor it is not merely a palliative bat an eradicant of disease. O 31 jfy The Work op Two Lives.?A sonlp tor, Franz Langer, of Randen, spent J thirty years of his life in constructing a wooden model of Solomon's Temple, ac? cording to the description given by Fla? vins Josephas. Ia 1850 he died, in his seventy-second year, leaving his work still incomplete. His son continued to enrry oat the work, bat he also died bo fore tho work was completely finished. Two citizens of Kaaden undertook to put the finishing touch to it, on which they worked for two year? more. They asked permission of the Commissioners of the Vienna Industrial Exhibition to exhibit the work there and havo a place assigued for it, which permission was granted. It requires a space of 225 cu? bic feet. - 0f m - Senator Spraguo, of Rhode Island, hau I reoently presented full suits of clothing to the officers and craw of the rovenue oatter Mooasin, who gavo theirs to the survivors of the Metis.
