THE DAILY ''Let oar tost Censures Attend the True Event." BY J. A. SELBY. COLUMBIA, S. C., TUESDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 22, 1872. VOL. VIII-NO. 184. A CHANGE FOR BARNUM.-A negro wo? man living on the farm of T. J. Watson, Esq., near this place, has given birth to a child having soven eyes-three on one knee two on the other, and tho other two in their proper places. The child is well formed with the exception of its legs, which are said to bo twisted back? ward in the similitude of a ram's horns. It occasionally hisses and licks out its tongue, after the manner of a snake. It is now about a month old, and seems to be healthy and growing finely. A num? ber of our citizens have visited this lusus natura, and the truth of the reports of its existence oan be well substantiated. {Chatham, Va., Tribune. Chicago hus "a house-breaker and thief by nature," named Billy Wray, who has "plied his nefarious calling with such sucoess that to-day he ?B worth $70,000." The sucoess of the gallant Col. Wray is almost unprecedented. If importers were as regardless of "duties" as the highest officers of the Custom House, we should soon have free trade, Special ?PJc.xtl.ooiB. Aug 12_3mo_ Mmr/vixnE, FLA., September 22, 186G. Dr. Wm. H. Tatt-DEAR SIB: In my yonng days, I was rather wild, and became the vic? tim of a loathsome diseaso. I was treated by an eminent physician, and thought I was cured. Af tor moving to this State, I was hor? rified at finding that the disease was making its appearance again, in a secondary form. Ulcera formed in my mouth and on different parts of my body. I also beoame afflicted with severo rheumatism. I employed differ? ent physicians and used varieus patent medi? cines for months, all to no purpose. During a visit to Jacksonville, 1 saw yonr Sarsaparilla and Queen's Delight, and concluded to try it. I have taken a dozen bottles, and believe that the poison ts entirely driven from my system. I intend continuing it, however, to make a ?ure thing of it. At the requestor your agent, I send this to you. You are at liberty to use it aa you like. Yours respectfully, Pot 22 CTg_JOHN H.
