time, transmit to the State Auditor an
abstract of the returns made to bim un?

Sao. 15. It Bhall be the duty of the
treasurer of each and every Oounty in
this State, npon the receipt of the first
quarterly instalment of the sum or sums

corporation paying the same a certificate
to the Auditor of his County, specifying
the sum paid, and the occupation or bu

SEO. 17 Any person or persons carry?
ing on or con ducting any occupation or
business named in this Act, without
having first complied with its provi?
sions, shall be deemed guilty of a mis?
demeanor, and upon oonviotion thereof,
it hall be sentenced to pay a fine not Isas
than double the amount of license im?
posed npon such business or occupation,
aud be imprisoned in the jail of the
County in which such offence is com?
mitted for a period of not less than six
months, or either or both, at the discre?
tion of the oourt; and every company or
I corporation carrying on or conducting
any occupation or business named in this
Act, without having first complied with
its provisions, shall be fined in a sum
not less than double the amount of
liconse imposed upon such business or
occupation, and the Attorney-General
and Solicitors are hereby authorized and
directed to take all legal proceedings
necessary for the collection of such fine.
