A Savannah papar telle tbis: "From
the mere misplacing of a comma, in oar
local columna yesterday, a woman waa
changed into a dog. Oar reporter, in
describing the painting on a banner,
wrote 'beside this maiden ia an Irish
{;ray hound,' bat a comma having found
ta way after the first word, it read 'be?
side, this maiden is an Irish grayhound, '
thus showing the importance of the rale,
"mind yoar stops."
A joking Harvard student recently
called for a doctor io great haste, direct?
ing tho servant where he should go.
The doctor went, bat found bis services
unnecessary and his call a hoax. So far
all was very well, but the servant recog?
nized the caller, and the next day the
doctor called on bim and asked him
whether be would rather pay twenty dol?
lars or be arrested. Ho said be thought
so too, and paid the twenty dollars.
An intoxicated man saw two oars pass?
