NEW OnLaANS, July 1.-The Cotton Exohango Committee on Statistics and Information made a report upon tho growing cotton and grain crop, with dates from the 15th to the 25th of June. The following is a summary: Mississippi -Cotton, reduction ot acreage 20 to 25 per cent., with average of }4 to }? tho yield of last year per aore. Corn acre? age increased 25 to 40 per cent. The latest reports indicate a short yield per acre. . Louisiana-Cotton reduotiou aaxeage 10 to 12 per cent.; crop three weeks backward and considerably in? jured, especially in the low lands, by rain and lice; corn-nearly sufficient for home consumption planted. Arkansas Cotton reduction of acreage 25 to 33 per cont., with proportionate increase in grain; prospects generally good, except in the Southern portion of the State, where not moro than half of last year's yield per acre is anticipated. The grain orop is very promising. Texas-Infor? mation mostly from the North-east por? tion of the State, cotton reduction per acre 25 to 33 per cent., with a corres? ponding increase in grain; cotton two weeks backward, though with favorable seasons an average orop per acre may be expeoted; corn, large orop expected.
