found its place of honor in the Prussian

William has followed the Marshal's ex?
ample, by bestowing the sword which
Napoleon III. gave up at Sedan on thc
same College, to be preserved sido by
side with that of the first Napoleon.

at the Theatre, yesterday noon, to witness tho
Grand Drawing of the North Carolina Beno
ficial Association. 'J'horo were 100 prizes in
all, and little rolls of paper separating these
wero placed in a wheel on ono sido, while tho
tickets were in another wheel opposito to the
former. Between tho two was a table, at
which Bat the Judgos and Mr. John London,
Commissioner. Tho WIIOOIB wero made with
glasB sidcB, so that everything within them
could be seen, and were securely lockod, until
tho drawing began. This was dono by means
of two little boys, who were securely blind?
folded, wno drawing a number from ono of the
wheels and tho other thc prize to correspond
with it. Tbcro is no question but that tho
drawing was dono in a perfectly fair and just
