FAi<i>iNa OF AN EioHT-SronY PIANO WAQEHOUBE IN NEW YO?IK.-A terrible accident occurred in New York, Thursday morning, at tho newly-erected piano manufactory of Joseph P. Hule, of No. 449 West Twenty-Fourth street, close to the banks of tho North Uiver. Tho structure was eight stories in height, and extends throngh the whole block. The building, whioh had only been finished during the past few days, was a total wreck. Several adjacent dwellings wero | smashed and five or six persons killed. The cause of the accident was thin walls and heavy wind. METAL-TIPPED SHOES.-Shoes are an important item in the expense of cloth? ing ohildren, as every parent will under? stand. They invariably wear out their shoes at the too first, and not unfre quently before the other parts ave R quarter worn.
