The soldiers attacked the of? ficers with demoniacal fury, and used their rifles, when tho ship's crew were called to; quarters to allay the njutiny. Several of the mutineers Were killed, and the dook of the vessel was strewn with wounded and dying. The officers of tho regiment gallantly wont to the rescue of their naval 'brethren, and finally suc? ceeded in quelling tho mutiny after the ring-leaders had ail either been killed or wounded. The GOth is a South Lincoln? shire regiment, and has been stationed in Quebec nearly three years, during which timo it has won golden opinions, and only a few days ago the officers wero presented with a handsome service of plate. The regiment is commanded by Colonel George Bogart, and is oomposed of men who distinguished themselves in the Sepoy army. Thoy also were en? gaged against the Fenians at the battle of Trout River, and were highly thought of by the people of Canada. The Gcn oral commanding, Lord Lisgar, Govern? or-General of the Dominion, hearing of the mutiny, ha?, ordered her Majesty's Bteamer Tamar to take to Bermuda tho women and children who wero refused passage, and both ships went to sea last evening. Much exoitement exists in con? sequence of the mutiny; and, though tho offenoe is punishable with death, tho married men have the sympathy of the entire community. A NEW NATIONAL FLAG.-Tho La Grosse Democrat is responsible for the following: Saturday last, a gentleman, who for several years past has been engaged in tho Termillion gold regions returned to this city, and at the American House dis? covered a Prussian flag. * 'What is that ?" tie asked, turning to n friend. "That is the Prussian flag," was the answer. "Bless the Lord!" says the pioneer. This remark created intense iuterest in the stranger, who was questioned as to bia enthusiasm over the colors of an European kingdom. "Oh, says he, it is aot because I care anything tor Prussia, but I have been beyond civilization for jonie time, and when I saw the 1 a?, (red white and black) d-m me if I didn't think the Radicals had destroyed the stars and stripes and got up a new flag, with the red for the Indian, the black for the nigger and the white for the rest of asl" SiONiwcAjrr.-TheJ Democrats only carried two Congressional Districts in New Jersoy, in the last election, and the Radicals turee. It is significant that in the two districts won by the Demoorats, ind where the negro vote was heaviest, the Democratic candidates came ont flat? footed against negro suffrage, and made their calling sure by appeals to the white voie of the district. Florida, well down in the mate, where the temperature is regular, and not subject to such variations as in more Northern latitudes. Palatka is ? point I can recommend. A good hotel is kept there by Pctorman. Last win? ter I saw several persons there whoso lungs lind been badly diseased, but who, under the healing influence, of the climate and my meai cines, were getting well. One hundred mileB further down the river is a point which I would prefer to Palatka, as thc temperature is moro even and tne air dry and bracing. Mollonville and Enterprise are located there. I should give a decided pre? ference to Mollonville. It is two miles from river or lake, and it seems almost impossible to tako cold there. The tables in Florida might be better, and patients complain at times, but that is a good sign, as it indicates a return of appetite, and when this is the case they generally increase in flesh, and then tho langs must heal. ' Jacksonville, Hibernia, Greon. Covo, and many ot her places in various parts of Florida, can bo Bafely recommended to consumptives in winter.
