SELMA, November 5 -This evening, a quarrel, pending all day between Jack Baxter, (white,) and Alf Granger, (ne? gro,) both brick-masons, eultimated in the latter being shot and killed. Baxter surrendered to Marshal Waite, from whom he was taken by an improvised mob of negroes, beaten and stripped, and dragged through the streets, being left for dead. Through the influence of Gen.
