REMARKABLE LTBEBAJJITY.-Tho most
remarkable decision ever made at the
internal revenue bureau is that a widow
need not pay for a new license on the
death of her husband if she continues a
trade. That is an evidence of liberality
without a parallel. It amounts to just
this: that whether husband buys and
pays for, shall not be taken from the
widow at his death.
The story is told in an Illinois paper
that a woman made n fair agreement with
her husband to commit suicide if he
would; so they both held their hoads
nader water nntil tho husband was dead,
when the woman emerged sonnd as a
dollar, paid the funeral expenses, and
married again in two weeks. 'Twas ever
thus.
