The Emperor desires that funds usu? ally appropriated to his fete, be this year given to the army. The highest military authority repeats that no foreign officer, however high his rank, will be permitted near the French army. Edmund About will succeed Paradol at the Academy, and probably as minis? ter to Washington. The Spanish ambassador had an inter? view with the Emperor aud Empress just bofore departure.
