The folio wi ig petitions were presented to "Conneil: Petition from Dr. John Lynch, asking that executions against him. in bands of the Sheriff, be stayed. ? On motion, laid on the table. Petition from Dre. Gibbes, Fair and Reynolds, -calling attention to the condi? tion of the drain, corner of Plain and Sumter streets, which is endangering tho health of the neighborhood. Referred to the Committee on Streets. Petition from William Steiglitz and others, calling attention to the condition of, the drain. Northside of Washington, between Richardson and Assembly streets, as likely to produce sickness. Referred to the Committee on Streets. Petition from M. The Committee of Ways and Means beg leave to report that they have re? ceived from tho City Clerk mutilated billa of the issue of the eily ns follows: New issue-bills of the denomination of $2.00, ?720; 81.00, 580 ; 75 centa, 150; 50 cents, 180; 25 cents, 150; of 5, 10 and 15 cents, 90.
