Divorco brokers will find themselves some? what disturbed in the pursuit of their avo? cation by the changes made in thc laws of Indiana. Under the new law, it is impossi? ble for parties not living in the State to ob? tain "Indiana divorces" by merely paying a liberal fee to some unscrupulous lawyer. It is now requirod that persons filing applica? tions for divorce shall have been bona fide residents of the Stato for ono year preced? ing the filing of the application, and for ninety days bona fule residents of the Coun? ty. It furthermore makes it a felony for any person to make falso representations in procuring a divorce, prescribes confinement in the penitentiary as a penalty, and applies I the operation of the Act to any attorney | who shall lend his assistance in procuring a divorce through fradulent means. -o It is proposed to cuta ship canal through Ireland, from Dublin to Galway-a distance of about 100 miles-as a moans of improv? ing the communication between England and America. It is also proposed to unite Scotland and Ireland by railway, through a tunnel, starting on the Irish side from a | point midway between Cushcndon and Cushendall, on the coast of Antrim, to the Scotch side of Glepstrone, from whence it | would run through the head of tho Mull of Oontyre. The total length of the tunnel would be fourteen miles three furlongs, and it is said that tho ground through which it would have to bo mado ia exactly suited for I tunneling operations, and the sandstone for 1 lining it can be found in any quantity on the Irish side. A fearful example to young ladies every? where will bo the fact wo gather from un exchange, that six young girls of tho period have been on trial at Clinton, Ky., "for disturbing public worship." Tho deponent states not if their offence was giggling, writing on fons, or "making eyes;" but we opine it wns one of tho three. It may, how? ever, be a re-assuring close to report that "the three prettiest were acquitted, and summary punishment meted tho others." Pure BROMIDE POTASS. IODIDE POTASS. CHLORODYNE. CHROMIC ACID.
