Kead a first ?ime, and ordered for conside? ration to-morrow. j Mr. Allen introduced a bill to open and adjust judgments rendered on the basis of Coufederato currency; which, on motion of Mr. Wright, was ordered to lie on the table. Tho House sent to tho Senate a concurrent resolution to enter iuto an election on Monday next, at 12 M., to elect a Register of Mcsne Con? veyance for Charleston County; also, to elect Judges to fill vacancies caus? ed by resignations, and to elect throe codifiers of tho laws of this State, which was amended by striking out tho words "also for the election of th reo codifiers of the laws of this State;" and by striking out tho words "Monday next," and inserting tho words "Wednesday, thc9th instant." Ordered to bo returned to the House of Representatives. Tho Senate then proceeded to the election of a Sergeant-at-Arms, and Mr. J. E. Green was chosen and im? mediately sworn in. Tho report cf tho Committee on Elections on tho credentials of Hon. Valentino Young, was adopted. A bill to incorporate tho Lake Swamp Navigation Company, of Horry County, was read a third time, passed, and ordered to bc sent to the House of Representatives. On motion of Mr. Wiiubn.sb, the Senate took up from tho table, a joint resolution for the relief of W. 1'. Gill of the penalty of five per cont, per mouth for default of payiug over taxes collected by him. And ou motion of Mr. Wright, the resolution was recommitted to the Committee on Finance.
