MOBS INCBSTDIABIBM.-On Satur? day rrght last, the gin-house on tho plantation of Mr. Bogers, near Cal? houn's Mills, with twenty-five bags of cotton, belonging to Mr. Fergu? son, and partly to the negroes, was destroyed by fire. On the same1 night, the barn of James Wideman, with corn, fodder and thirty bags of cotton, was also destroyed by fire. On tho same night, the woods upon the little mountain were fired. For? tunately uo other destruction re? sulted than that of fences. [Abbeville Press. "Indian summer" burst upon us yesterday morning with all its en? chanting loveliness, and Broadway and the Avenue were, as a natural consequence, crowded with fair pe destrienne rigged out in all tho fan? tastic waggeries of fashion, includ? ing the panier, watteau and trail. MUNICIPAL ELECTION. -The election for Intendant and Councilmen for this village, was held yesterday, and passed off without the slightest dis? turbance. The following gentlemen were elected: Intendant-Wm. Hen-1 ry Parker, Esq. Councilmen-J. F. 0. DaPre, Matthew McDonald, Jacques Kurtz, Thomas C. Seal. A few scattering votes were polled. [Abbeville Banner. LOUISIANA.-Some of the radical organs coll upon the radical Senators to reject the electoral vote of Louisi? ana. Let them reject it if they ohoose. No Democrat eau have an objootiou to their heaping up for themselves " wrath against the day of wrath." That day will soon come. It can't be chained to the other side of the earth. Sandwich Xriand advices represent that frequent earthquake shocks have recently occurred at Hilo. A distur? bance had occurred at Hawaii. An attempt to arrest a fanatical prophet was resisted by his followers, and several persons, including a sheriff, were killed. A tidal wave occurred at Hawaii October 15, destroying a number of buildings. The Winnsboro News states the following as the result of the election in that town for municipal officers. The death warrant of the Leow Bridge in New York has been signed.
