This was not unlikely; for in tho immediate neighborhood thero lived a Mr. Bowley, who had been his bosom friend when they were boys. The idea no sooner struck Grimaldi than ho ran to tho house and knocked hastily ot tho door. Tho man him? self answered tho knock, and was evidently greatly surprised.
