I need it on corn. It answered finely, and was thought by the hand that cultivated the crop to bo fuUy equal to Rhode's Supor Phosphate. I also used it on about an acre of cotton, and I ara clearly of opinion that it is thc best and cheapest fertilizer in use, and I expect to order several tons this winter. Sir: In reply to your Inquiry of the re? sults of our experience in the uso of your improved Pouarette-purchased of you for this year's cotton crop-we would beg leave to say that tho preeent season has been one quite unfavorable to the action of all fertilizers. Several kinds of manures were used by us, with the exception of your Poudrette, with little or no effect to the crop. Where the Poudrette was used, it gave us near half a balo more per aero, aud caused the cotton to open much earlier; and wo would, therefore, recommend the same as a concentrated manure for the growth of cotton, as well as improvement to tho soil.
