I also used it on about an aero of cotton, and I am clearly of opinion that it is the nest and cheapest fertilizer in UBS, and I expect to order several tons this winter. In reply to your ?jjquiry of the re? sults of our experience in the-use of your improved Poudrotto-purchased of you for this year's cotton crop-we would beg leave to say that the present season bas been one quite unfavorable to the action of all fertilizers. Several kinds of manures wero used by ns, with the exception of your Poudrotto, with little or no effect to the crop. Where the Pondrette was used, it gave us near half a bale moro per acte, and caused the cotton to open much earlier; and we would, therefore, recommend the same as a concentrated manure for the growth of cotton, as well as improvement to the soil.
