The Compa? ny is intended to develop the mine? ral, agricultural and mining re? sources of this State, and has a capital stock of $1,000,000, every cent of which has already, not only been subscribed, but paid in. The officers, who were unanimously elected, are Prof. Francis S. Holmes, of the Col? lege of Charleston, and well-known, not only in the United States, but in all parts of the civilized world, as ranking high os a Naturalist and Geologist, President; Dr. N. A. It answered finely, an waa thought by the hand that cultivate the crop to be fully equal to Rhode's Supe Phosphate. I also used it on about a acre of cotton, and I am clearly of opinio that it ia the beat and cheapest fertilize in nae, and I expect to order several tor thia winter.
