There was no heading to it-no name; there was no preparing you for a story of any kind; but it was written with feeling eloquence, when the blood was all aglow. It commenced thus: "What a glorious night! How the moon floods the earth with her glory! How sweet the cool air of this lonely balcony after the warm, stilling atmosphere of tho ball-room!
