WASHINGTON, March 12.-In the House, the bill limiting Federal ex? penditure and enforcing Sherman's and supplementary Act to $500,000 passed. A joint resolution appro? priating 815,(JOG to the destitute co? lored people of the District, passed. The bill appropriating $1,000,000 to the destitute of the South was refer- I red to tho Committee of the Whole. Farnsworth objected to its passage without reference. Several motions to go into Committee of the Whole, to consider the appropriation of 81,000,000, were negatived, and it was at last lost, under a motion to adjourn. In the Senate, a resolution to direct the Secretary of War to furnish Gov. Brownlow equipments and arms for 2.500 militia, was introduced. Wil? son urged immediate action. John? son objected, saying the resolution must take its regular order. Sumner objected to immediate consideration. The resolution of sympathy with Ireland went over. A supplementary bill from the House was referred to the Judicial Committee. After executive session, the Senate adjourned. From Mexico.
