The reverend gentleman complains that they have made light of a very serious matter. Rev. Mr. Cheney, a Universalist clergyman, speaking a number ol years since through Tompkins Coun? ty, New York, used to say, "the Or? thodos preach to keep the people out of hell, but I preach to keep hell out of tho people.
