TRY.-A gentleman ?who has just re? turned from Culpeper, Eappahan nock, Madison ami Orange, reports the wheat crop as looking admirably, and a large breadth seeded. The corn crop is immense; most of it still standing in the field, and the farmers unable to gather, from a scarcity of labor. The people i" toe country noticed are going into tho culture of tho grape. We kuow of no more favor? able section than tho hill-sides of the upper country, which may soon equal thc vine-clad hills of the Rhino in rich and profitable productions. [Fredo'ic/csburg News. An English paper says: "Nearly a third of the meat now sent to Lon? don is brought iu the form of dead meat, and the quantity is increasing very fast. We are now importing nearly 1,000,000 sheep and lambs from the Continent in the year, and nearly 200,000 cattle, and the largest proportion of this live stock and dead meat is brought to London hy? the railways.
