A DELEGATION OF IMMIGRANTS.-A delegation of Polanders, understood to represent a considerable number of Polish families, arrived in Baltimore on Saturday, and visited Governor Swaun, to whom they presented a petition of some length in reference to a plan for their settlement iu Maryland, which liad been projected between the State Commissioner of Emigration and Gen. Tochman, but which, it seems, difficulties have in? tervened to prevent the consumma? tion of. A farm of some 2,000 acres was to have been secured in Charles County, seven or night miles from Port Tobacco, and tho subscription by gentlemen in that State for making the 'first payment had go far pro? gressed that the Poles allege that they prepared to come on in conse? quence, and now experience disap? pointment and loss by the failure.
