Davenport for Go? vernor, and re affirmed its trust and confidence in the principles of the Democratic party; endorsed Presi? dent Johnson's restoration policy, and demanded the taxation of United -States bonds. - WASHINGTON, June 30.-It is be? hoved that the President will veto the new Freedmen's Bureau bill, and also the tariff bill, if it passes in the form as reported by the committee. The amendments adopted are even more prohibitory than the original bill. From Washington. WASHINGTON, June 30.-The Se? nate confirmed the nominations of Martin F. Conway, of Richmond, Va?, ex-member of Congress from Kansas, as Consul at Marseilles, France; and Tl ornas L. Cuthbert as Naval Officer at Charleston, S. C. The special committee of the Se? nate have agreed to report a bill appropilating $4,000,000 for tempo? rary repairs of the Mississippi levees. The bill will pass the Senate, and several of the most prominent mem? bers of the House indicate their in? tention to vote for it. . Tho total receipts from internal revenue, customs, miscellaneous J sources, sales of public lands and ! direct taxes from sales of public ? lands, for the fiscal year ending to day, will, it is estimated, at the Trea- j sury Department, foot up over $550,- ! 000,000. The receipts from internal revenue, as estimated, will be $370, 000,000; direct tax, about 82,000,000; from miscellaneous sources, $65,000, 000; and from sales of public lands, about $600,000. Three persons were pardoned, to? day, by the President-Mrs. Mary Coll, Mrs. Mary W. Anderson and O. P. Daniel, of Green Connty, Ga. All of these applicants come under the $20,000 clause of the amnesty pro? clamation. Congressional. The House was engaged all day considering the tariff bill.
