I am only Buperficiallv acquaint Mtwith the claims ef your Prophylactic Fluid, but ani well acquainted with its chemical elements While, therefore, 1 cannot speak experimentally of the value of the compound, vet tho disinfecting and therapeutic rropcrtfes of the s gen tut employed in Its composition, together with the well known reputa tion of it.s discoverer, as a ctieiuisl, authorize me to regard it h merit: as ef a high order; on the whole it must be considered as a valuable coutrioution to the class of articles to which it belc uge. These views, I may add, are sustaie _d by Ibe testi mony or many cnaspetent judges, who have tested its properties. Believe .ue, dear sir, Yours, respectfully, A. MEANS, M. D., LL. D. CI'M.KS BURNS. While the sun is below the horizon this vapor liugers near the tarth's surface, and the virus is taken with it thtougb the lungs into the blood. There It acts as an irritating poison on the Infernal viscera and excreting orgauB of tho bodv. Tho liver becomes torpid and fails to secrete not only this virus, but also the bile from the blood. Both the virus and the bile accumulate iu tb^ circu lation, tnd produce vto ent constitutional disorder. The spleen, the kidneys, and the stomach sympa thize with the liv r, and become disordered also. Finally, the instinct of nur organism, a< ii iu an at tempt to exnel the noxious infusion, concenirates the ?hole blood of the body in the internal excreio ries to force them to cost it out. The blood It- ares the surface, and rushes to tho central organs with congestive violoncc. Ibis is the ChilL But in this effort it tails. Then tho Fever follows, 1n which the blood leaves the central organs and rushes to the surface, as it in another effort to expel the irritating poison through that other great excretory?the skin. Iu this also it fails, and tue system abandons tho attempt exhausted, sud w.nts lor the recovery of strength to repeat the hopeless effort another day. These are the fits of paroxysms ol Fever and Ague. Such couetltutional disorder will of course under mine the health if it is not removed. We nave iauorc<] to tta?, and bave found an anti dote, A y ?it's AGUE Cl'RK, Which neutralizes this malarious poison in the blood, and stimulates the liver to expel it from the body. As it should, to it does cure this afflicting disorder with perfect certainty. And it does more, or rather does what is of more service to those sub ject to this infection. If taken in season it expels it from the system as it is absoroed, and thus keepi those who use it tree Am its attacks; keeps the sys tem in health although exposed to the disease. Con sequently It not only cures, but protects from, the great variety of affections whtcb are induced by this malignant influence, such as Remittent Fever, Chill Fever. Dumb, or Masked Ague, Periodical Headache, or Bilious Headache. Bilious Fever?, l> ouralpin, Rheumatism Gout, Blindness, Toothache. Earache, Catarrh, Asthma, Palpitations Painful Affections of the Spleen, Hysterics, Colic, Paralysie, and Painful Affect ounrf the Stomach and Bowels, all of which, when arising from this cause, will be found to as Bume, more or less, the intermittent type. This "AGUE CUBE." removes the cause of these derange ments and cures tbe disease. Ibis it accomplishes by stimulating the excreto ries to expel the virus from the system ; and these organs by denr?es become habited to do this, their office-, of their own accord. Hence arises what w? - term acclimatation. Time may accomplish the same end. but oiten life is not long enough*or is sacrificed in the attempt, while this < Ague Cure" does it at once, and with safety. We have gi eat reison to be lieve this is a surer as well as safer remedy for the whole class of diseases which are caused by the mi asmatic infection, than any other which has been discovered; and it has still another important ad vantage to tbe public, which is, that it is cheap ae well as good, PnE PATTED BY Dr. J.
