JAIL DELIVERY IN MARLBORO'.-The Cheraw Democrat brines us a report that Hie prisoners in Marlboro'jail rose against tbe jailor, and after mas? tering him, seven of them made their escape. No damago was dono further than choking the jailor for a time. This nows may be exaggerated, but it is certain that some prisoners have escaped. SHOOTING ON BOLL'S ISLAND.-About seven o'clock on Sunday evening, an altercation occurred on Bull';i Island, between Mr. James C. Fraser and his step-son, a young man named Henry Belmont in thc course of wfcicu the former was shot by the lat ter with a rovolvor, the load taking effect in tho left shoulder, and inflicting a serious though not danger? ous wound. THE WORLD'S WEEK OF PRAYER.-This week so interesting to the Christian world, in that it secs Christians of every language united in the one lan? guage of praj er for tho same great objects-was ap? propriately introduce I by a union service at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Sunday evening. Al? though the night was inclement, and there were services in many other cburobea, yet the spacious edifice of Pt.
