What to Buy and Where to Get lt. The streets ave beginning to look like -'Jhrist nns-like Christmas, we mean, as it used to be in Charleston in the good old times "before the war." The windows on King-street are fairly ablaze with brightness; every tradesman has put forth his choicest and newest goods, to attract everybody else to buy bis wares, and give them away for the sake of love aud Chtistinas. The endless panorama of these shops is a refreahing picture to look at Then there are crowds of . xtra peeple-most of them loaded down with bundles which at other limes they might be ashamed to carry-flooding tho streets just now to overflowing. They have a great number of "young folks" to think about, and to provide presents for against the day ol presents. A quantity of coffee, tobacco, bacon, pickle?, ko., was carried off. Tho next morning information of the robbery was lodged at tho D.tectivo offi c, and the case pnt in thc hands cf offlccis Coates and Chapman. A couple of hours alter they teamed the particulars, they captured Ned Hill alias Rebel General and Tom Williams, who con? fessed tho desJ and implicated a white man by the name of Dodrlck S-hnackenberg, who keeps a grocery at the no> thea*: corner of Church and Cholmers streets. Tho entire stolen property was found in bia store and recovered. He had destroyed the bacs and the tobacco boxes, and all matter by which the gooJs coald be identified ; bat notwith? standing that, his complicity was established be? yond doubt, and he with the principals has boen loci od up.
