Graham, at Graham's Turn? out, on the South Carolins Railroad, were destroyed by flro on Wednesday last. A large quantity of fod? der, which was kept in th? loft ot the stable, was lost, and five mules and horses were burned to death. The fire commenced at ll A. M., and is supposed to have bf en i aciden tal Captain Graham's loas is esti? mated at $3010. RAILROAD CONSOLIDATION IN TENNESSEE. The stockholden of the East Tennessee and Virginia Railroad (from Bristol to Knoxville) have consolida? ted too management of that road with that cf the East Tennessee and Georgia (from Knoxville to Chat? tanooga) by electing the president of the latter. CHESTER WHITE Flos.'-TWO very five speci? mens of this improved breed of pigs have been re? cently received by Mr. J. C. H. Claussen, at the Steam Breal Bakery in Market-street, from West? chester County, Pennsylvania. They are only three months old, and yet are of fine growth for pigs; and have a coating more like fleece than bristles. The boar is peculiarly striking in this last particular, and both arc worthy of examination. THE CHARLESTON ADVOCATE, we learn, is about to give up tho ghost. The General Conference Of the Methodist Episcopal Church, North,>t its re? cent session, made an appropriation of $2000 toward its support, but it would appear that the authorities rof the Missionary societies do not consider the sheet a quid pro quo for the evangelical cash, and decline to pay over the amount. A Methodist paper, of sim? ilar proclivities, is, we hear, to oe published in At? lanta, Georgia, instead of chirle sion. A STRANGE TRANSACTION.- Night beioro last, just before midnight, a colored man, with a lot of turkeys In his possession, rung at several residences in Butledge-atreet, und offered them ior sale at a low figure.
