There should be no difficulty in sending these fruits to market. The steamship 1 ines will make low rates, and are enlarging their accommodation as the demand in? creases. Our railroads will douhtless do the same thing; for it is their interest, and ts the very A ii C of their policy, to encour? age as much os possible local improvement ind trade. We can live in the upper districts of Car? olina without cotton, and in tho low coun? try we shall do better as we seo the n< ces nty of not staking a fortune on a caterpil? lar, and the prudence of preferring a small but safe crop lo a magnificent planting spec? ulation.
