LIVERPOOL, April 9-Corros-[From the Bro? kers' Circular.]-Cotton was in very extensive de? mand on Friday and Saturday, with an 'animated market and further advance. On Monday the busi? ness was comparatively limited, with some decline in prices. Yesterday the sales were to a fair extent, but lower rates were submitted to, particularly in the early part ol the day, while in the afternoon more steadiness appeared. To-day the market has been heavy and irregular, still the advance previously gain? ed has not quite disappeared, and the quotations are generally higher than on Thursday List. For rea island there has been a lair demand at steady prices. American, after advancing fully lid, subsequently declined iid, and is quoted Aid per pound above the rates of last Thursday iu the current qualities. The transactions "to arrive" continue large, and on Sato) day New Orleans, basis of middling, reached 12%d;on Tuesday morning lljjdwas taken, but 1 12J?d was paid before the close of the market, and ? to-day the quotation has fallen to 12d per lb. BALTIMORE, April 24.-BABE-We note sales of several car loads Quercitron, including No 2 at $41 50, and No 1 at S47e48 per ton, free on board. COTTON-Cable advices were better to-day; mid diing uplands firm and active at Liverpool nt 12Jcd to arrive. Our market was also more active, with Bales of 700aSOO bales at 30a31 cts tor low middling, latter figure for good style, and 31}~ cts for Mid? dling, market cloping strong at quotations. COFFEE-stock further increased by the arrival in the river of bark Lookout and brig Redwing, from Rio-the latter has 2600 bags.
