I. I have received from a private and reliable source, some information of a partly historical and partly local nature, which I do not think IUIH ever liefi rc round its way into print. During thc reign of Louis Phillipe, the King foreseeing a revolution, and desirous to guard himself at all events from possible impccuniositr, sent over to America a couple of hundred thousand dollars to La Fargo, his natural sou, to bo invested in property herc.
