MOBILE,, November 28.-COTTON.-The market open? ed firm this morning under the same impulse which ex? isted yesterday, and at -unchanged quotations, and with a fair demand. Sales were made early in . the day on that basis. Later in the day the reported weak condi? tion of Gold in New York, together with a dull Cotton market there, caused factors to lot down in their ideas to 32a-c for Middling, at which figure the market closed quiet and rather easy. Sales 1100 bales. MOXETABY AKD FINANCIAL.-The Gold m?rkct has been unsettled throughout the day, following the course .' of Now York fluctuations. Tho only sales of importance reported wera early in the day-$10,000 at 143>??, and $5000 at 142 J?. Since then we have heard of but little doing, the market closing at 140al42. Sterling transactions continue on a limited scale. The only sale roportod ip a bill for ?2200 at 150; closing quota? tions 14Sal50. '.. "We have but little change to note in Nev# York Sight. NEW ORLEANS, November 27. - SUGAE AND MoT - LASSES.-The receipts have increased;, they are much larger than they were yesterday, and comprise 414 hhds Sugar, 818 bbls abd 37 half-bbls Molasses, about half from . { thc Lower Coast, the balance from tho Upper Coast and . ' by the Opelousas Railroad. The demand is limited, and, being mostly local, the market continues dull and droop-. ing. Receivers are anxious to realize, and in order to do ?o are compelled to make: a general reduction in prices . from day to day, there being very little competition among buyers. Brices for Sugar are about-J?c lower ..than they wore yesterday, and; those for Molasses fully ?3a5c ^ gallon. The sales to-day comprised 275 hhds Su ~ .. gar and 800 bbls Molasses, in numerous lots, at the fol? lowing quotations, which we have again modified : SUG ATI.
