Dress silk goods, French merlnoes and lelaiucs, and velvets, have been offered freely through he auction-room, aud the owners met tho market iravely. Boston Dry Goods Market. BOSTON, November 24.-Tho dry goods market ex Jbits no Improvement, in view of the general decline in allies; and the prevailing dullness seems to bo inteual cd in all its departments. The volumo of trade, both rom flrs-.nnd second hands, is considerably be.ow that f the corresponding timo last year, though prices rule ?uch lower than they did thou. There is a very week aud unsettled feeling both in cot )u and woolen goods, occasioned partly by the decline i gold and raw material, and partly by the unseaBona lo mild weather, which enables buyers to hold off and revente seasonable products from going into coneump on. Distributors all over the country are anxious to >e cold weather; and if tho market is kept (Vee froaa dis irblng causes, thoy anticipate an unusually brisk trade tiring the whiter. But aside from climatic influences, we have no doubt mt as soon as gold quotations exhibit more steadiness, >od prices will also settle, and we shall witness a revival ' business. Nearly all styles of cotton goods have fallen off lal._c iring the past week, though manufacturers are geuc _Uy vcryslow to moko any concession. Standard brown icetiiiga oro selling in small lots at au average of about c, though some favorite brands are hold above that cure. Mediums and four-yard goods are also le lower, ino brown goods are in very moderate demand at about o same reduction. Wo quoto Canoes, 25c; Poppcrcll _, 23c; do Ita, 21c; Groat Falls Ms, 20c; Forest As, 18c. Bleached goods are in excess of the demand, and prices e unsettled and materially lower. We quoto : Andros iggin and Hills 4-4 at 30c; Bartletts and James do, 26c; rcat Falls 7-8, 18c. Standard drills oro dull at 24c; uoskeog denims ore held at 41c; Hamilton stripes, 30c; ackBtone ticks, 24c; Tremont flannels, 25c; L?cenla ms, 21c. Tho print market is very quiet and without quotable ango, though the agents of some popular brands are dined to make a little further concession. Printclotha o unsettled and hardly quotable. Lancaster ginghams o lower at 23>?c. American delaines are in moderate _uest at 26c. Hie market for foreign dress goods has been unsettled the fell in gold, and most styles which are in fair stock 3 selling at lower rates. French merlnoes, printed mess, poplins, and all-wool plaids, are offering at a icral concession. 1'hc market for woollen gooda continues dull and de L'ssed, and all styles are offering at about the erst of sductlon. Heavy coatings and fine fancy cassl acres > mostly wanted, though these arc selling at rates hard remunerative. Some styles of coarse goods have exhibited more anl Ltiou and firmness during the past wcok, some con lorablo lots having bcon taken for remote points of !tribution. Flannels, shawls and blankets, ore also in tter demand nt low prices. Late European Markets. State of Tbade.-According to the Manchester ard?an, the hope of any early improvement lu the ces of manufactured goods seems almost to have lished, and consequently the Imperative necessity of bnmediato resort to short time has forced itself more .idedly than hitherto on the minds of nearly all thoso o have the produce of the mills to dlsposo of. A mcot ; of the cotton manufacturers of Barwen was held .tcrday, "and, with very few exceptions, every firm the town waa represented and unanimously agreed ince to commence working four days a wook only." Lccordiug to a circular of Messrs. Aries, Dufour _ Co., Lyons, the great activity which Iiob prevailed in the : trade since tho opening of the season began to siack towards the end of last month, and the subsequent u-.acth.ns have been rather limited. This dullness, rover, crcatcB no disappointment, since, after the bu tant purchases made for four months past, a certain iod of quietude was to bo looked for, the more bo as, Mo prosent high rates, manufacturers find no induct. ut forniaking provisional purchases to any extent. In : goods some transactions continue, principally for se nt of the American market, and further orders aro icipated from that quarter. Meanwhile, prices of tho - matrial arc still firmly maintained, particularly for superior descriptions, both European and Asiatic. i Btock in those sorts remains lew, and is expectod to tlnue so throughout the season. [anci-esteb, November 13.-Shipping yarns are very st, and for all descriptions of them, to make sales, er prices have hid to bo taken. There havo bcon io very largo offers, Involving considerable quantities shipping, but at prices too low for acceptance. Still, lmost every case whore offers havo been taken, it has n at a reduced price, even on the decline of last week, ne trado yarns have also been very flat, and prices are . tending in favor of buyers. In the cloth market this i be registered ob one of the worst days we havo had i year. Notwithstanding th. extensive adoption of rt time to restrict production, both in spinning and ving, sellers have been obliged to consent to considcr ) reductions iu price, Tho feeling almost amounts to le, and people compelled to sell have accepted very rates. There is a very uneasy and anxious fooling in market, and thore Boems to bo a want of confidence i among sollors and buyers. Buyers who had largo rs lu the market at a decline on then current rates, a now withdrawn, and aro again dlsposod cautiously -oit and seo tho turn of ovonts. Messrs. John Slagg o. report of to-day's cloth market: During the whole of tho past week prices havo been 'ly giving way, and buyers appear determined to keep of tho market. There Is consequently a strong pres ) to realize on the part of manufacturers, but very ?Miunerotlve offers are mado, and on the whole tho ket closes in a more gloomy stato than we have ex enced for a considerable timo." }1__dat, November 2.-Cotton quiet, prices drooping, ?monts of the week 6700 bales.
